Soo Meen Kim

Soomeen Kim(b.1983) is based and works out of South-Korea and Chicago, and has received her MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014. Her practice engages with the urban environment, and is particularly attentive to architectural remnants, invisible structures and forgotten materials. Ephemeral processes of fading, disappearance and decay, recording physical momentary existence of time and place are consistent subjects of investigation in her works.
